This is a structured in-person programme supported by online materials and resources to help learn about the Islamic faith, prayer and how to read Arabic.

1. Al Fatihah (the opening) and sounds of the alphabet

The opening chapter of the Qur'an is a summary of the Islamic message and is the core part of our daily prayers. Learn the meaning and how its pronounced in Arabic with English transliteration.

The Arabic alphabet consists of 29 letters - learn the sounds they make with our phonic chart.

2. “The key to Paradise is prayer..." [al-Tirmidhī, 4]

The best experience in this life is to connect with the our Creator and Sustainer, Allah, the Exalted. At least five times a day, we speak directly to Allah, through our daily prayers. This is a step-by-step guide on the core aspects of the prayer with Arabic pronunciation, transliteration alongside the English translation.

3. “... and the key to prayer is ablution." [al-Tirmidhī, 4]

Wudu is not just a physical action of washing, its inner spiritual dimension is to purify yourself from the ‘dirt’ of your sins. And this is an act which Allah loves to see from His worshippers:
“Indeed Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves” (Qur'an 2:222)

4. Taste the sweetness of prayer

The mindful prayer is an unparalleled experience and improving the quality of our prayer is a lifelong practice. Ibrahim ibn Adham, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “If the kings and their sons knew what we experience of pleasure and happiness in Islam, they would fight us for it with their swords.” [al-Zuhd al-Kabīr lil-Bayhaqī, 80]
